MISSION TRIPS

Interested in joining our mission trips? Contact Howie Hooper, Minister of Missions Engagement, (hhooper@firstbaptistcolumbusga.com) or by calling him through the church office. Our Missions Ministry is a vital part of First Baptist Church, reflecting our mission statement to love none more than Christ and love others as ourselves. We believe in active engagement, whether through international projects in countries like Cuba and Guatemala or regional efforts across the United States.

FOOD MINISTRIES

At First Baptist Church, we're dedicated to combating food insecurity in our community. Our Food Closet and Victory Mission Food Pantry have served as a cornerstone of our outreach for nearly four decades, offering nutritious food items to individuals and families. In addition to our pantry, we organize community meals, conduct food drives, and collaborate with local organizations to maximize our impact. You can help by volunteering, donating supplies, or spreading awareness.

Contact Howie Hooper (hhooper@firstbaptistcolumbusga.com) to learn more about getting involved in our food missions and making a difference in the fight against hunger.

QUILTING MINISTRY

Our Quilting Ministry creates handmade quilts to bring comfort and prayer to both our congregation and community. We provide bereavement quilts for Piedmont Hospital, cheerful "I Spy" quilts for children, and throw-sized quilts for adults in hospitals. Join us on Mondays at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, or drop in anytime between noon and 8:00 PM.

For more information, call (706) 366-4536.

We are now excited to present missions mini-grants for qualifying partners or organizations.

Those interested in applying can email Howie Hooper, Minister of Missions Engagement, to receive the application.

PRAYER MINISTRY

"If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land."

II Chronicles 7:14

At First Baptist Church, we believe in the power of prayer. We have a dedicated Prayer Room and a team committed to praying for anyone or any event submitted to them. Your prayer requests are kept confidential unless permission is given to share within our church community. Our team appreciates having contact information to correspond with those for whom prayers are offered, and prayers are kept active for 30 days unless updates or further information are provided.
